Eventide Equivocate – Paragraphic EQ
Eventide Equivocate
With the Eventide Equivocate, Eventide collaborated with Newfangled Audio that was founded by audio developer Dan Gillespie. You get an equalizer with 26 bands that is great for mixing and mastering. The 26 bands of the equalizer are modeled on the human ear and create a very natural sound. The plugin is completely free until October 31st, 2017.
Eventide released a new paragraphic equalizer that has a very familiar look of a conventional graphical eq. You get 26 bands that can be used to alter your sound.
The GUI looks quite simple and logical with three skins that can change the look of the plugin. There’s also a drop-down menu to choose a number of bands you want to use. You can alter the input and output sections with either Peak or RMS values.
The plugin is quite simple to use, you can just edit every single band with the fader or you can draw a curve with the virtual pen.
The best feature of the plugin is the “Match EQ” function where you can use a reference track via sidechain to match your own sound with the reference track
The plugin includes many presets by audio designers like Alex Saltz, Richard Devine, Jeremy Lubsey, and others
